Do I need to bleach my hair to dye it a bright colour?

Maybe! If you have naturally light hair, you’ll probably still get a good result with our more vibrant semi-permanent dyes. Darker hair will still need bleaching, but you may not have to lift it to a pale yellow to get a nice finish. Do a strand test before bleaching your hair at home to get the best indication of how your hair will react to the bleaching process.

Why do I need to tone my hair after bleaching?

If you want to add colour to your hair, it’s important to use a toner that neutralises the brassy yellows of a fresh bleach, which can impact how your colour shows up. 

Will this damage my hair?

No. All of our Super Cool Colours are conditioner based and free of peroxide, so they help to nourish when you colour.

If I want a less vibrant colour, should I leave my colour on for less time?

Nope! To make a bright semi-permanent dye lighter, dilute it in conditioner or Reincarnation Mask. Do a strand test to check you’ve gotten your desired colour and apply all over once you’re happy. Or try our softer pastel colours!
