Range introduction

There comes a time in every blonde's life when they will be called to the dark side. Going from bleach blonde to a more natural colour is a sought-after, lengthy and expensive salon service. For the last few years, Alex Brownsell has been developing a D-I-Y kit for you to achieve the same head-turning results at home with just two steps in less than an hour …and now it’s here!

For the first time ever brunettes are having more fun! Meet the kits:

But first, what is a Colour Correction?:

A term used by colourists to describe a service requiring more than one step or multiple techniques to get you to the colour you want.

Sorry to tell you, but adding red isn’t the answer; the Super Natural’s Kits treat bleached hair with a two-step-colour-correction, restoring a custom mix of warm pigments made to create the perfect base for a natural dark blonde, mid brown or dark brown to be applied. The result? No red glow. No green tinge. No flat, muddy colour.

What makes the Super Natural range unique?

  1. These all-in-one colour correction kits were formulated specifically for bleached hair. Each kit has two steps to get you to the exciting world of natural.

    1. Step one creates the perfect base - mimicking natural pigments in the hair

    2. Step two provides balance to create the most natural-looking final shade for bleachy heads.

  2. Contains low level peroxide to avoid damaging bleached hair further.

  3. Semi-permanent dyes have larger colour molecules which are more suitable for porous/bleached hair as they give more even colour results than permanent dyes, which contain smaller colour molecules.

  4. A low commitment way of going back to natural  - colour will fade gradually with each wash.

Not like the other dyes!  What is the difference between Super Natural vs ‘Box Dyes’ and why should you switch?

  1. Standard  ‘box dyes’ are dyes that are either too ashy or too warm, meaning you will end up with either brown hair with a green tinge or a red glow.

  2. The most common box dyes are permanent dyes, which contain smaller colour pigments than semi-permanent dyes. These small colour pigments do not work well on bleached hair, as it is more porous. Like a sponge, bleached hair will absorb and release permanent colour pigments quickly. This means it is likely that you would end up with a colour that is uneven and not long-lasting.

  3. Permanent dyes can compromise hair that has already been bleached and colour treated further, as they are mixed with a higher level of ‘peroxide’  than semi-permanent colours. Hydrogen Peroxide, commonly known as ‘peroxide’ is used to help open the cuticle and deposit colour pigments into the hair strands.

What ingredients are used to make Super Naturals?

  • Red Algae – part of the nourishing complex in Super Natural, helps to deeply nourish and repair damaged hair, increase hydration and smoothness.

  • Sea Buckthorn – designed to act on the hair surface to give hair a shine boost.

  • Also infused with Bisabolol and Indian Frankincense to help protect and soothe the scalp by reducing inflammation.

  • Does not contain Ammonia or Gluten (in the colourants and developer).
