White Toner: The questions everyone always asks

Who can use White Toner?

Anyone with bleached hair (highlights included) can use White Toner to help create a brighter blonde and banish brassy yellows. It's also a great way of creating a clean base for adding cooler, sharper colour on top. Toners won't work on unbleached hair.

Does this lighten hair?

Toners don't lighten hair — they add pigment to already bleached hair. White Toner works best on a medium yellow bleach to brighten it up. If you have a darker bleach base, check out our other toners, which can help neutralise more orange tones.

How often can I use White Toner?

Our toners are very gentle and ammonia free, so you can top up your tone as often as you like without stressing your hair out! We recommend reapplying White Toner every 14-16 washes (or whenever the colour starts to fade) to avoid pigment build up.
