Get prepped! Lay out your products and familiarise yourself with them. You’ll need an old t-shirt and towel, maybe your ex’s top they never picked up? You may also want some plastic clips and a tail comb for sectioning.
Don’t wash your hair for at least 48 hours prior to colouring.
Set aside 30 mins - 1.5 hours for the process.
Make sure your hair is dry, unshampooed and thoroughly detangled.
Get prepped! Lay out your products and familiarise yourself with them. You’ll need an old t-shirt and towel, maybe your ex’s top they never picked up? You may also want some plastic clips and a tail comb for sectioning.
Part your hair from ear to ear along the top of your head using a tail comb to create two equal sections, one at the front and one at the back. Secure each with a plastic clip for easier application.
Add the entire contents of the CONDITIONING COLOUR tube to the GO LIGHTER DEVELOPING LOTION bottle. Screw the lid back on and shake very well until the two are completely mixed together.
Holding the bottle away from your face, remove and discard the top of the nozzle.
Use mixed product immediately. Do not wait more than 2-3 minutes before use.
Starting at the back of your head, take a small section of hair and apply colour 3 cm (1 3/16 in) away from your scalp, all the way to your ends.
Gently massage the mixture in to make sure your hair is fully saturated, ensuring you keep your roots untouched.
Take another section of hair and repeat.
Once you finish the back, follow the same process starting from your crown and working towards your hairline, saving the finer hairs at the front for last.
Let the colour develop for 15 minutes on your lengths and ends.
After 15 minutes, apply the remaining product to your roots, using the same sectioning. You can use the nozzle applicator or a tail comb to part your hair.
Set a timer for 35 minutes.
Once hair is ready, rinse thoroughly until water runs clear, then shampoo twice to get rid of any leftover colour on your hair and scalp. If the product has stained your hairline, make sure to shampoo the area gently before rinsing.
Finish by applying the Keep It Sealed Conditioner (included) to towel dried hair and leave on for 3-5 minutes. Rinse thoroughly and style as desired.
Hair bleach is typically made up of a developer (We use 30 vol, 20 vol and 13 vol) and a bleach powder. Combining the two creates the magical mix that lightens your hair! Bleaching allows for maximum lightening, but achieving your desired result doesn't always require this level of lightening.
Our semi-permanent toner kits contain pigments that are activated when mixed with a developer (we use 7 vol and 7.5 vol) to deposit colour pigments into the hair. Toners can change the tone of your hair (warm, neutral or cool) but can’t lighten it.
Permanent hair dyes contain smaller colour pigments than semi-permanent toners, they are also mixed with a developer to deposit colour into the hair shaft. No Bleach London permanent colours can lighten and deposit tones into your hair in one step, allowing you to change your hair colour without bleaching.
The No Bleach London permanent colours shouldn’t be damaging to your hair however, if you have any concerns, a strand test is the best way to check that you are happy with the colour and condition of your hair.
