What you’ll need: 

• Bleach London Total Bleach

• Bleach London White Toner

• Bleach London I Saw Red Super Cool Colour

• Bleach London Eco-conut Bowl and tint brush for mixing your products

• Bleach London Crocodile Clips for clipping up your hair sections

• An old t-shirt or Bleach London Bleach Proof Towel to protect your clothes

How to prepare: 

• Read the instructions provided with all products. 

• Always do a Strand Test for our bleach kits and a Strand & Sensitivity Test for toner kits and Super Cool Colours.

STEP 1: BLEACH

First, lighten your hair using our Total Bleach Kit. Start with the mid-lengths and ends – heat from your scalp makes the first 2 cm or ¾ of an inch of hair develop more quickly, so you need to give the rest a head start.

1. Divide your hair into four sections and secure. 

2. Use the tip of your tint brush or sectioning comb to section out thin slices of hair and apply your bleach mixture liberally. 

3. Gently massage it in as you go to make sure every hair is coated in bleach. This is essential for the maximum, most even lift!

4. Work through your whole head. Slice. Bleach. Massage. Repeat! 

5. Let the bleach develop for 20-40 minutes.

6. Then do your roots with the same slicing technique. Set a timer for 30-45 minutes. 

7. Check the hair every 10 minutes by gently scraping the bleach away from your roots with the edge of your tint brush to check the colour and condition of your hair.

8. Once you’re done, rinse until the water runs clear, then shampoo twice with Silver Shampoo to get rid of the bleach and pre-tone the hair.

9. Gently towel dry, then it’s time to tone!  

STEP 2: TONER

Our White Toner Kit neutralises brassy bleach yellows and balances out your blonde for a clean, cool finish or base for Super Cool Colour.

1. Centre-part your towel-dried hair and apply the toner mixture to the warmest/yellowest bits of your bleached hair first, then do the rest. 

2. Remember to saturate and smoosh! 

3. Let your hair develop for 10-20 minutes, then rinse with cool water and condition with Reincarnation Mask for added nourishment. 

STEP 3: COLOUR

Dye your bleached and toned hair a true, bold red with our fire-engine-inspired I Saw Red Super Cool Colour

1. Section from the top of one ear around your head to the top of the other ear. This should give you a horseshoe shaped section like a headband.

2. Starting at the root, carefully paint on your dye, taking small sections and saturating the hair with product. 

3. When all the roots are painted, smoosh the colour through the ends. 

4. Comb through to make sure the colour is evenly distributed.

5. Leave to develop for 30 min.

6. Rinse with cool water and style.
